It is a condition of our license from the Shire of Augusta Margaret River that we both clearly outline our Code of Conduct on our website and we include the full Code of Conduct with every confirmed booking.
CODE OF CONDUCT FOR GUESTS AND VISITORS
Holiday rentals provide a unique tourism experience: consider this your home; treat it as your own, respect your neighbours and leave the house as you find it. These House Rules are provided at the property to ensure that guests and visitors know and comply with the specific rules governing their permission to enter and occupy the property.
This Code of Conduct has been developed and is implemented across most holiday accommodation in the Augusta Margaret River region and indeed across much of Australia.
1. General use of this property:
- We genuinely hope you enjoy your stay in this uniquely located property.
- We love the house and want to keep it in the best possible condition so all can enjoy it. To this end we need to have some "House Rules" to which we expect you to comply.
- Guests and Visitors must comply with all House Rules.
- House Rules are binding on Guests and Visitors and any issues must be reported to the Manager.
- The house, furniture and furnishings must be respected and treated with the utmost care.
2. Offensive noise and anti-social behaviour is prohibited:
- Guests and Visitors must not create noise which is offensive to neighbours and others in the vicinity and the local community particularly between the hours of 10pm and 8am.
- The noise and anti-social behaviour rules also apply during the arrival and departure times of your occupancy.
- Offensive noise and anti-social behaviour is prohibited and may result in termination of permissions to occupy the property. Eviction, loss of rental paid and excess charges may be applied to the credit card used to secure your booking.
3. Guests are responsible for Visitors at all times while on the site:
- Visitors are not permitted to stay overnight unless they have been nominated at the time of the booking and any fee applicable has been paid and approval has been obtained.
- Guests are responsible for ensuring Visitors comply with the "House Rules" at all times when on the property.
- The maximum number of Guests and Visitors staying overnight cannot exceed 6 people (adults and children).
4. Parties and non-compliant functions or gatherings are prohibited:
- The property is not a "party house" and parties and non-compliant functions or gatherings are prohibited.
- Any celebration or entertainment permitted at this property must be of a small family type of gathering and all Guests and Visitors must be respectful of the residential amenity and comply with all House Rules.
5. Parking regulations and requirements are specified clearly:
- Vehicles may be parked on the hard surface driveway or the lawn driveway on the north side of the property only.
- Guest and Visitor vehicle(s) must not interfere with neighbouring properties under any circumstance.
- Under no circumstances may vehicles (including boats and trailers) park on the lawn at the front of the property facing the ocean due to underground septic tanks.
6. Garbage storage and disposal requirements are clearly specified:
- Guests and Visitors are to dispose of garbage in the wheelie bin(s) located in the rear garden.
- Rubbish that will not fit in the respective bins must be securely bagged and left alongside the bins.
- Rubbish must not be left inside the property on departure.
- The general waste bin is put out each Wednesday morning.
7. Security:
- Whenever you are absent from the property, close all doors and windows to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage as well as burglary.
8. Balcony area:
- The balcony area is for leisurely family enjoyment and seating is provided for this purpose.
- The balcony is very high and your safety is paramount. It is not to be used as a dance floor or for any other purpose where multiple people will be jumping or otherwise causing excessive thumping / vibration.
- There is to be no running on the balcony.
- There is to be no rough-housing (fighting / play fighting) by adults or children.
- All children must be supervised while they are on the balcony.
9. Smoking and drug use is strictly prohibited in the house and within the external property boundaries:
- Smoking is not permitted indoors under any circumstance.
- Cigarette butts and the like must be disposed of correctly and not left within the grounds of the property.
- Cigarette butts and the like must not flicked or dropped from the balcony.
- Guests and Visitors found smoking in the house may be evicted.
- Please consider the community and do not leave cigarette butts and the like in any public areas.
- Illegal drug use of any description will not be tolerated on the property under any circumstance. The consequence will be immediate eviction and the matter will be reported to the Police.
10. Pets pets are not permitted on this site:
- Pets including any animals / birds / reptiles / rodents are not permitted on this property at all.
11. Damages and breakages:
- Damages and breakages must be reported to the Manager.
12. On departure arrangements:
- Please see or contact the Manager prior to your departure to make arrangements regarding keys, security, rubbish etc,.

- Guests have an obligation to report any problems or incidents promptly. Guests and Visitors with formal complaints should, in the first instance, approach the manager.
- Consequences for non-compliance of the House Rules are clearly defined in the above preceding points.
